A website request does not reserve a date. A booking becomes final after the written quote or service agreement is accepted and any required deposit is paid. The approved quote controls if it conflicts with this general page.
1. Requests, approval, and scope
FoltsFotography reviews availability, location, travel, access, and requested coverage before approving work. The approved quote should state the event schedule, coverage length, expected deliverables, delivery method, estimated turnaround, price, deposit, final-payment timing, included revisions, travel, and permitted use.
2. Athlete and client requests
Athletes and other clients may submit coverage requests directly. If a venue, release, or applicable requirement calls for additional consent or documentation, FoltsFotography may request it before the shoot.
3. Pricing, deposits, and payment
Website prices are starting or standard rates unless the service says “custom quote.” Individual game packages are $35 for photos, $40 for individual video, and $50 for a game mixtape. Team photography is $150 per game, team video clips are $175 per game, and edited game video is $225 per game. Media-day packages and expanded visual effects are custom. Discounts may be available for multiple games or teammate bookings. The approved quote confirms payment timing; for game coverage, payment is generally due before or immediately after the game. Limited playing time does not create a refund entitlement. Stripe hosts invoice and payment pages; FoltsFotography does not receive raw card details.
Any applicable tax will appear on the invoice only after the business has confirmed the correct tax treatment and registration. Automatic tax is not assumed.
4. Cancellations and rescheduling
Cancellation and deposit-refund decisions follow the approved quote and consider notice, work already completed, reserved time, and nonrefundable expenses. A refund is not automatic unless the approved quote says otherwise. If FoltsFotography cancels and cannot provide an agreed replacement, amounts paid for undelivered work will be refunded.
Weather, unsafe conditions, venue restrictions, illness, schedule changes, or events outside either party’s reasonable control may require rescheduling or a revised scope. Both sides should communicate changes promptly.
5. Client responsibilities
The client is responsible for accurate schedules and contact information, venue access, permissions, credentials, and identifying any restrictions before the event. The client must not request unsafe, unlawful, or rights-infringing work. Delays or missed coverage caused by inaccurate information, denied access, or schedule changes may limit deliverables.
6. Delivery, edits, and storage
Delivery timing, quantity, format, and revision terms are defined in the approved quote. Artistic selection and editing remain part of FoltsFotography’s professional judgment. Source or raw files are not included unless written into the quote. Clients should download and back up delivered files promptly; long-term storage is not guaranteed unless agreed in writing.
7. Copyright, client use, and portfolio use
Unless a written agreement says otherwise, FoltsFotography retains copyright and grants the client the usage rights stated in the approved quote. Individual clients generally receive personal-use rights; teams, organizations, sponsors, advertising, resale, or commercial uses require the written scope to allow them. Images and videos must not be misleadingly altered, resold, or used outside the agreed rights.
Portfolio or marketing use will follow applicable permissions and releases. A client may request a written privacy restriction before the shoot; any agreed restriction should be included in the final quote or agreement.
8. Problems and limits
If equipment failure, data loss, denied access, or another serious issue prevents delivery, FoltsFotography will work in good faith on a reasonable remedy such as rescheduling, replacement work, a partial refund, or a refund for undelivered work. To the extent allowed by law, responsibility for a booking will not exceed the amount paid for that booking, and rights that cannot legally be waived remain unaffected.
9. Changes, law, and contact
Changes to an approved booking should be written and accepted by both parties. These general policies are governed by Wisconsin law, subject to any consumer protections that apply. Questions can be sent to carterdfolts@gmail.com.
